Wow...I haven't updated in awhile!! OKAY! Well....PLENTY going on here.

Well....

First: I am now a burn victim.
Let me explain.
I was cooking last monday and I was home alone. I was making cream puff swans (yea, I'm a dork I know.) and I was using a double boiler(That's where one pot has boiling water in it and another pot on top to cook stuff in so it doesn't burn)...well! What happened was that I leaned over to stir what was in the top and it exploded in my face sending pressurized boiling water on my face neck and chest. I ran to the bathroom filled the sink with cold water and grabbed the nearest hand towel shoving it in the water and putting it on my face and neck, now I had tried to keep my cool throughout this event to be strong, but as soon as I saw my skin blistering in the mirror I lost it. Totally lost it. I screamed BLOODY murder. Nobody was home and I was screaming and crying it hurt so bad. My mum came home ten minutes later and rushed me to the ER. I figured out something: The louder you scream the sooner you get seen (hehe I could be the next Dr. Seuss) Everyone was looking at me and a few were praying for me. I was shoved into a room, stripped of my shirt and bra and had ice packs shoved on me, now I am still in hysterics mind you, and as soon as they tried to give me an IV I flipped. I HATE NEEDLES. Let this fact be known. But I ended up with the IV in my arm and the maximum dose of morphine. IT STILL HURT LIKE HELL. That's how bad I was in pain. The doctors said I was extremely lucky though. If I were to have just stood there crying and screaming and freaking out without putting the cold water on it like I did, I could have easily died, because; I would have recieved 3rd degree burns so bady that the flesh would have melted off of my face and chest and I would have bled to death. I got lucky with 1st and 2nd degree burns. BUT! I am better now, my burns are gone, and I have no scarring. I GOT VERY LUCKY.


On a lighter note!

In the english classes we had a poetry contest to be the poet laureate of the school, and I read one of my poems on here and guess what....IT WON! I am now the new Poet Laureate of the high school and could not be happier


Finally:

I am in Florida for spring break and loving the sun!
Sooooo happy walking on the beach and sleeping in!
